Frankfurt, Germany hosted TAFISA European Sport for All Forum, bringing together over 120 participants from 33 countries. The event focused on shaping the future of Sport for All in Europe. Representatives from international organizations, sport federations, NGOs, and universities gathered to exchange ideas, collaborate, and address current challenges. The forum emphasized unity and cooperation as a driver to advance a series of initiatives through sport across the continent.

2. Forum tackles gender bias, health promotion, and capacity building in sport

Three panel sessions were held on March 26: The first focused on gender biases in sports and the need for inclusive coaching for girls, with strategies for retaining them in sports. The second explored how sports clubs are evolving into health promoters, balancing sports with health goals, securing funding, and encouraging collaboration. The final session emphasized capacity building and measuring impact, with discussions on certification platforms, sustainable development, and inclusive initiative design.

Following the panel, three strategic workshops allowed participants to shape the future of Sport for All in Europe. Topics included policy advocacy, the structure of TAFISA in Europe, and challenges/opportunities in Sport for All. Discussions focused on securing Sport for All's place in the budget of EU, defining the movement, bridging grassroots and EU policies, and strengthening media engagement.

The day concluded with “The Marketplace: Brainstorm and Connect to Develop Erasmus+ Project Ideas.” This session facilitated networking and potential collaborations across Europe to advance grassroots sports through knowledge exchange and mobility grants, resulting in several promising partnerships.

3. Voices of the future: Youth leading the way in Sport for All

On March 27, the first session focused on youth engagement in Sport for All, discussing good practices for involving young people in sports organizations. The panel explored barriers to youth participation and the need for young voices in decision-making. The session concluded with an introduction to the REACH project, aimed at empowering young people in grassroots sports through leadership and advocacy.

The Closing Panel reflected on key themes, focusing on bridging grassroots efforts with government policies and strengthening advocacy for Sport for All. Panelists discussed strategies for connecting with the EU and supporting local Sport for All initiatives.
